Downtown

Aveiro is one of the most beautiful cities of Portugal and is located on the coast. The downtown is known for the numerous lagoon canals, the colorful Moliceiro and the typical sweet “Ovos Moles”. Its architecture is inspired by the “art neveau” and Aveiro is a member of "Réseau Art Nouveau Network" as Barcelona, Brussels, Budapest, Glasgow, Helsinki or Havana. “Ovos Moles”, sweet or salted “tripas”, the stew of eels, the fish and seafood dishes are required menus in your gastronomic journey.
