When you think of Coyoacan’s heart you think of Jardín Centenario. It is the central plaza where you can find the iconic coyotes fountain and where all the weekend fun happens. At Jardín centenario you can enjoy delicious ice cream, coffee and typical Mexican food with a wide range of bars and restaurants for all tastes and budgets. It was inaugurated with the name "Jardín Centenario” (Centennial Garden) in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the independence of Mexico during the government of President Porfirio Diaz. Several buildings trace the outline of the square, where you can find all sorts of typical Mexican attractions.
