Downtown is turning into a gallery haven, and we have MAP to thank for that. Founded in 1981, MAP first operated near the Inner Harbor before moving to its current home on Saratoga. Since that time, it has been the cornerstone of the art community in downtown Baltimore, supporting contemporary Maryland artists by displaying and selling their work. And its mission has remained constant: to create "a dynamic environment for artists of our time to engage the public by nurturing and promoting new ideas." Swing by for an artist's talk or an artful stroll--you're guaranteed to leave inspired.
