Named after the German-American painter Georges Grosz, a socially critical painter from the 1920's. The Grosz is a restaurant, café and bar situated in the Cumberland House, a historically registered house built in 1911. Though the building has seen many highs and lows of its past, the decadent interior and array of old paintings will have you wishing to go back in time.

Amongst stores like Chanel and Bottega, it sits proudly on upscale Kurfürstendamm as a place to enjoy some of the finer pleasures in life and eat like royalty (for a Berlin budget, of course). If you go in the winter months, be sure to try the traditionally served hot chocolate and come early to check out the newly opened bread and pasta shop right outside.
