Umspannwerk
The abandoned red brick building is a former electric power transformation substation built in the 1920s. It is one of the many industrial buildings that the architect Hans Heinrich Müller has planed and realized. During his time at the power plants of Berlin he was responsible for a couple of substations, that have left their mark on Berlin. Its style is a mixture of radical, expressiv modernism with redbrick Gothic. Today it is out of order and you can just walk around and imagine what it could be used for in the future.
