Prenzlauer Berg

Cobble stones and tree-lined streets barely scratch the surface of what Prenzlauer Berg has on offer. Overflowing with restaurants, cafes, bars and boutiques, the neighbourhood is just a short cycle from the city centre yet warrants no reason to leave. While Prenzlauer Berg is one of Berlin’s more gentrified areas, it still encapsulates the gritty charm that visitors and locals alike can’t seem to get enough of.

From the outside this place doesn’t look like much. You’ll notice an upside down McDonalds logo, a statement that W-Der Imbiss represents the complete opposite of the fast food industry. Inside amongst the tiki-inspired decor awaits unique dishes that combine elements from Indian, Mexican, Californian and Italian cuisines. For some this may sound like overkill but once you try the freshly made Naan bread, warm salmon or vegan burrito, you’ll leave your skepticism at the door and be making friends with salad.
