New takes on American comfort food with quality cocktails.
According to local historians, Bucktown acquired its name from the goats that where raised in the area by polish immigrants (apparently, male goats are known as Bucks, who knew?). Today, Bucktown is primarily a residential neighborhood. It's one of Chicago’s smaller regions and is located between, what a lot of people would consider, more lively neighborhoods; Wicker Park and Logan Square. Bucktown isn't as much of a destination as its neighbors, and the restaurants and bars are very low-key, humble and unassuming. This is what makes the area great and why I make my home here. Bucktown is full of small, hidden gems that cater to its residents.

Counter service bibimbap and Korean tacos.
Recently completed bike and walking trail, connecting several neighborhoods.
Bucktown Pub has been in the neighborhood since the 30's. This is definitely a low-key spot that is great for having a drink, and catching up with friends. They have a solid rotating beer offering and unlimited access to free popcorn. I have also been told that there is a great trivia night on Thursdays, beware of Fart Goat.
