The Fulton Street Farmers Market is the oldest and largest in Grand Rapids. Newly updated and remodeled in the past couple of years, many of the vendors have been with the Market for generations, and even when the market isn't open, you can see the history by way of the dedication/donation bricks making up the main entrance. Open the first Saturday of May through the last Saturday before Christmas, during the late spring, summer, and fall, you can find some of Michigan’s best produce. Make sure you arrive early for the best selection - if the parking lot is full (which happens lots in the summer), grab a spot on Fountain, the street directly on the north-side of the market.
