Intendente & Anjos

For years the neglected child of central Lisbon, Intendente is enjoying a lively rebirth. Known for its rough edges, shady economic activities and its multicultural ambience, it's now embracing grit in a positive way. The neighborhood includes one of the city's biggest estates of late 19th century Portuguese-style architecture. Gentrification is well underway, but it is balanced with a thriving activist and cooperative scene. This unique national movement was reborn after the depression because the country's youth didn't give in under tough circumstances.

Mosca da Fruta

Address
48 Campo Mártires da Pátria

Standing for “fruit fly”, this nice new kiosk lives up to its name by presenting a handful of sweet choices for a nice afternoon at the esplanade in the grand garden of Campo Mártires da Pátria, on top of the hill. A nice little corner in a peaceful garden overlooking ducks and peacocks (running freely!) that makes you forget you're in a busy intersection of the city.
