Barbican Estate
A celebration of contemporary art housed in a giant brutalist maze
Where tech meets arts and culture on the outskirts of the financial district – there is no other area in London quite like Barbican and Old Street. Discover impressive architecture old and new, hang out with creatives in hidden coffee shops or immerse yourself in the many world-class galleries, bars and restaurants. This once up-and-coming and diverse area is still going strong, firmly established as London’s melting pot of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
A neapolitan ice cream of culture – agency, gallery, and shop
Recommended by the cyclists in the studio, this shop is a shrine to design and two-wheeled transport. From the perfectly positioned bikes and accessories to the considered lighting, tokyobike exudes design and that’s just the shop. Originally founded in the quiet Tokyo suburb of Yanaka, the bikes themselves are designed to be light and comfortable underpinned with the brand’s philosophy that “a bike is simply a way to enjoy your city, it’s as much about the journey as the destination”. We’re sure most people who have cycled around Old Street roundabout might have a thing to say about that.
