Lewis Leathers
Established in 1892, Lewis Leathers (D. Lewis) began making protective clothing for the growing pursuits of Motoring, Flying and Motor Cycling. By the mid 20’s this grew to include purpose-built race suits for prominent TT racers of the day. 1950’s post-war Britain saw popularity increase with the rise of the teenage motorcyclist, a new breed whose style went hand in hand with their lifestyle. In the 60’s Lewis Leathers saw unprecedented growth as the products became immensely popular with the English Rockers. Then again, with the explosion of punk in ‘76, Lewis Leathers were worn by musicians like Joe Strummer, Paul Simonon, Steve Jones and Joey Ramone. Today Lewis Leathers attracts motorcyclists and rock & rollers from all over the world who appreciate the quality and style achieved in over 100 years.
