Peckham
With a rich mix of culture and smells, Peckham is one of the most ethnically diverse districts in London, with communities from Bangladesh, the Caribbean, China, India, Ireland, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, Eastern Europe and Vietnam. Discovered by creatives because of its exciting cheap spaces, the opportunities offered by this, and its’ proximity to the East on the overground, Peckham has grown in cultural ‘cool’. The secret is well and truly out, so before the developers get their grubby hands all over it come and take a wander around.

Peckham’s first dedicated yoga studio opened on the second floor of the Bussey Building one year ago and has gone from strength to strength, pulling in a local crowd who don’t want to travel far to get their fix (especially if your studio is only two floors up, ahem!) Launched by Emma Arnold and Sean Hitzelberger, the studio offers a range of classes from meditative Yin to stimulating Yogasana or dynamic Vinyasa Flow, and everything else in-between. It’s a great space, filled with natural light from the large warehouse windows, to unwind and take a breath in this busy city. A personal favourite of our studio are Katy Bateman’s classes.
