Riverview Theater
It is easy to imagine the old archeologist, Howard Carter, cracking the doors of a hermetically sealed Riverview Theater and peering in... Someone behind him asks if he can see anything... and he replies "Yes, wonderful things." As you step past the box office, you're transported back in time to the era of terrazzo floors and tiled wall decor. The Riverview is not only the area's best place to catch a movie on the cheap, but an experience it itself. There is an old-style refreshments counter, and a single viewing theater which sits behind the lovingly kept 1950's era lobby. It's one of the best places to get a feel of the neighborhood culture, and an even better place to see any number of well-loved 80's films, classics, and films from eras long past, along with a slightly-later viewing of today's blockbuster line-up.
