Later it maintained it's position as a center for forward-thinkers that have challenged the American culture with it’s role in hosting the first racially integrated night club, and the LGBT and anti-war movements. With it’s charming narrow streets, this is the best place for a day of walking and exploring the many interesting and diverse shops, food, bars, music, art and architecture.
