South Street Seaport
South Street Seaport is a historic district with some of the oldest architecture in downtown Manhattan. While many associate it with the former Fulton Fish Market, today it is revitalized with restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, live music and seasonal events, making it a destination for locals and tourists alike.

Since 1967, the South Street Seaport Museum has been telling folks the story of New York’s rise as a port city by using interactive exhibits, education and experiences in its historic buildings and ships. You can also get down with the museum’s galleries, 19th century print shop and maritime library. If you aren’t a boat lover after visiting, the high seas just ain’t your thing.
