Upper West Side

The UWS lies between West 59th Street and 110th Street sandwiched between two of the best parks in New York: Central and Riverside Park. I've called this area my home for almost 8 years now. It's commonly known for being the more artistic and lively counterpart to the Upper East Side due to the close proximity of Lincoln Center, having a ton of fun bars and delicious restaurants and easy subway access from all parts of the city. Walking around the hood, you'll instantly notice a friendly neighborhood vibe with a lot of families and 20-30 something's enjoying an escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown. During the summer, having access to both parks and being able to picnic, bike and watch the sunset on the Hudson is one of my favorite ways to unwind. Enjoy some of my favorite places in the UWS!

Dive Bar is one of me and my friends favorite neighborhood bars. We often find ourselves perched on the top floor over looking the bar having rotating beers and wine (on tap!) till the wee hours in the morning. It's always a really mellow crowd in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The music is always just right and during the week they have live music and comedy. They also have beer fridges where you can buy beer on the spot and drink it at the bar or get it to go!
