Midland

Midland is an eclectic and multicultural mix of producers, restaurants and small retailers. It's a haven for second hand shopping, craft supplies, and the emerging coffee scene will give any inner-city hub a run for its money. The town itself was established in the late nineteenth century and boasts a collection of historic buildings, including the iconic Midland Railway Workshops. A twenty five minute train ride north-east of Perth will take you directly to the town center. However, if you do decide to drive, an extra ten minutes north will land you on the doorstep of the Swan Valley's wine region.

The Crooked Spire's cafe walls and ceiling are a visual treat, adorned with original paintings, mix media and sculptural works. If a big weekend breakfast is in order, the open kitchen pumps out a variety of classics. Should bagels or brownies are more to your taste, you're in luck too! There is an impressive selection of baked treats. On the beverage front, the coffee is a delicious Yahava blend. Uniquely fashioned energy drinks will be sure to give you the wake up call you need after a big night out.
