Danforth

Connecting Toronto's downtown core east, the Danforth is a vibrant and cultural hub that combines tradition with the hip and modern. Don't worry about getting lost, it's really just one big street! You'll find meals the way 'mama' used to make, like Greek souvlaki and Italian pastry as well as a daring new wave of fashion boutiques, cafes and bakeries (to name a few). More recently, these shops have integrated well into the current mesh that makes this neighbourhood so unique. A mix of old and young, wise and bold, but always warm and inviting.

North Pole Bakery
- Address
- 1210 Danforth Avenue
'Nonna' is Italian for Grandmother, and nonna's kitchen is what it's like stepping into North Pole Bakery. It's warm, it's dark and cozy, it smells like heaven, and if you're hungry, you will be fed. Walk in early for fresh baguettes and deli meats. Hint: hollow out your baguette and line it with salami or pepperoni! The sweets are beautiful, classic and melt in your mouth indulgent, and there are plenty to go around. Much of the food you can take home to share, but once it's gone you'll have to come back for more.
