Chinatown and Strathcona are located right next to each other in East Vancouver, Canada. Strathcona is Vancouver's oldest residential neighbourhood and Chinatown is one of the largest Chinatowns in North America. Both of these neighbourhoods have seen much change over the years. Chinatown/Strathcona was in desperate need of a good coffee spot before these guys showed up. Matchstick typically serve anywhere from 4 to 6 different house roasted coffees at a time. And with their contemporary approach to roasting, you'll find you'll actually be able to taste the difference in each bean. You can go brewed coffee (made to order via Able Kone pour over) or espresso. The house bread with butter or jam is a great start to the day too.
