Old Fourth Ward

Affectionately abbreviated as O4W, the neighborhood is steeped in Atlanta's history, most notably because it marks both the birthplace and final resting place of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today, it is highlighted by some of the most interesting new developments in the city. The neighborhood is a proverbial melting pot of Atlantans with a number of unique offerings designed to suit any lifestyle. O4W helps stitch together the other neighborhoods around it and contains an eclectic mix of both old and new restaurants, shops, and parks.

This park has really changed the game in the O4W neighborhood where previously, no one really lived, much less spent time outside. It's a marker for what site remediation and re-use can do for an area and it acts as an essential connector between a continuously growing residential community and the local businesses that surround it.
