Affectionately abbreviated as O4W, the neighborhood is steeped in Atlanta's history, most notably because it marks both the birthplace and final resting place of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today, it is highlighted by some of the most interesting new developments in the city. The neighborhood is a proverbial melting pot of Atlantans with a number of unique offerings designed to suit any lifestyle. O4W helps stitch together the other neighborhoods around it and contains an eclectic mix of both old and new restaurants, shops, and parks.
Sure it looks like it's falling down from the outside, but this Atlanta staple hosts some of the best concerts and festivals in the city.
Playing an integral part in the newer restaurant movement permeating throughout Atlanta, Ladybird offers great food with a great variety of ambiances, from patio, to bar, to private offering to communal dining. Oh and there's a gigantic US flag adorning one of the restaurant's walls, and a giant painting of a bear on another...so yeah, it's a must-visit.
