KO Pies at the Shipyard
How do you get to KO Pies? Come down Marginal Street along the water, to a guard post at the gate (you're entering an active shipyard) and continue to an old brick building to the left with a giant like green butcher knife standing out of the ground next to it. The space itself is pretty simple, with an ordering area just inside the door and a few tables to the left. More seating can be found outside, with a covered patio that has a good amount of communal bench seating for those warmer days and nights.
KO is an Australian restaurant. Though other options are available, the main feature of the menu is the Aurelian meat pies. A variety is offered, including one with ground beef, another with beef and cheese, a braised lamb shank pie, a curried vegetable pie, a beef stew pie, and a rotating selection of pies of the month. Get your pie as a floater (with mashed peas and potatoes with gravy on top. They also offer a selection of beers, cider, and sangria.
