Bushwick
Recently dubbed the 7th coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue Magazine, Bushwick is in the throes of intense transformation. It’s a neighborhood with a complex history we’ve watched unfold over the past 12 years, with conflicting sentiment. The community-led, creative neighborhood we call home is holding on tight to it’s authentic grit.

The taqueria, named after owner Karla's mother, is not just a restaurant; it comes with a great story. Karla's family opened the first Mexican restaurant in Ecuador many years ago, and since then she's fulfilled her dream of opening La Lupe in NYC. The casual taqueria is a bustling, community oriented, no-frills joint, boasting some of the best tacos around. All the salsas and hot sauces are homemade, the pozole is some of the best we've had, their margaritas are PERFECT and even the vegetarian burrito has an addictive secret sauce.
