Go to the Palmer House hotel main entrance on Monroe Street. Follow the stairs up past the gilded statue. Sit at the bar or sit on a green sofa chair. If the lobby is crowded, give the staff a nod and you’ll be in good hands. Order a cocktail or a pop. The chips are homemade and great. Also anything with cheese. Most important part is the ceiling, so come prepared to look up.
