Little Havana
Little Havana is widely viewed as Miami’s cultural epicenter. Home to both Cuban exiles and transplants from Central and South America, the neighborhood vibrates with natural energy. Located just west of Downtown Miami and Brickell, this bustling barrio offers an escape from the more expected parts of town, providing an unapologetically authentic taste of Miami. Along Southwest 8th Street, visitors will find a number of historical landmarks, cigar shops, storefronts, and—most importantly—restaurants serving Café Cubano.

The family-owned, cash-only fish house has been in Miami for years and continues to be on the top of their game. Don't fix what isn't broke they say—authentic Cuban seafood flavors is all you'll get from this locale. Having just recently acquired tables, the fresh fish market is a "stand-up" hit during lunchtime hours. This real Cuban fish-fry has a steady, ongoing supply of fresh seafood. I'm a big fan of go-to classics like shrimp empanadas and their signature "Pan Con Minuta" sandwich.
