Proudly standing in the heart of Little Havana, The Tower Theater is one of Miami's oldest cultural landmarks. When it opened in December of 1926, it was the finest state-of-the-art theater in the South. The theater was named one of the top 10 theaters in America by USA Today. Today, Tower is one of the best places in the city to watch independent and foreign films as well as a multitude of lectures and exhibitions. Concession prices are fair compared to the outrageousness of some of today's other multiplexes. Sneak yourself away from the music and people that populate Calle Ocho and retreat to a time when watching films was an event.
