Ville-Marie
Ville-Marie was named the “Neighbourhood of the future” in the 1960s and has been iconic ever since. An aggregate of the trendiest stores, venues and restaurants, it’s no wonder the area consistently attracts crowds of tourists and native Montrealers alike. Ville-Marie also boasts a growing collection of some of the most impressive modern buildings on the island, complemented by rich historical architecture and monuments. It’s the heart of Montreal for a reason!

Les Jardins Gamelin were created in 2015 to celebrate the warmer months of Montreal. Bursting with life, the green space was designed by Pépinère & co and imagined by the Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles in collaboration with the Ville-Marie borough. This ephemeral set-up is home to a snack bar, beautiful terrasse and vegetable gardens, doubling as a venue for a variety of cultural activities and musical performances throughout the summer. The diverse programming includes DJ sets, dance lessons, movie showings, family activities and urban agriculture workshops. A perfect example of Montreal’s exuberance!
