With three universities, four major sports teams and countless shopping districts, restaurants, music venues and museums all vying for attention, it’s not surprising that the home of Toronto’s creative class also contains some of the city's best kept secrets. From high-profile to hole-in-the-wall, Downtown offers it all and then some.

Devonian Pond
The pond better known as Lake Devo, is skateboarding's unofficial meet up spot. Wedged in the heart of the Ryerson University campus, it’s a bustling arena of foot traffic and rolling wheels. Located in front of Ryerson's image gallery, this drained pond is a bare boned Toronto staple. On a good day catch Morgan Smith warming up along with a breadth of Toronto talent. Low ledges, rock wallrides, and crisp concrete make it the perfect spot to start the day. Come for the tricks and stay for the kicks.
