West End & Stanley Park
Despite being one of the most densely populated neighbourhoods in North America, the West End is a quaint quarter and home to a culturally diverse and neighbourly community. It is bordered by Vancouver’s downtown core on one side, waterfronts on two, and crowned with the city’s largest and oldest park. With an abundance of restaurants, bars, and awe-inspiring outdoor spaces the West End is an obvious stop for visitors. Its charming architecture and seemingly endless tree-lined streets make it a prime choice for anyone looking to take up residence in Vancouver.

Since its inception three years ago, Long Table Distillery has continually raised the bar for craft spirit production. This mom and pop shop specializes in gin, and has won numerous awards for it, but they also make vodka, akvavit, and a few seasonal liqueurs. Friday is gin and tonic night and Saturdays are for cocktails (I highly recommend the Royal We with bourbon-barreled gin and the City of the Sun in warm weather). The retail shelves on the side of the room are stocked with everything you need for your home bar, from spirits and bitters to mixing spoons, jars, and glassware.
