Museum Haus Konstruktiv is located in one of the finest industrial buildings, the former electrical substation Selnau. Haus Konstruktiv dedicates itself to constructivist, concrete, and conceptual art in Switzerland. This art form is characterized by the accomplishments of the Zurich concretists like Max Bill or Richard Paul Lohse from the 1930s to 1950s.The museum’s top floor offers two attractions: the unique metal structure from the 1940s, and an equally impressive library – with literature providing an overview of constructivist, concrete, and conceptual art. Here, art enthusiasts and academics find both an inspiring setting and the necessary tranquility for focused reading.
