Fort Point

Named for a colonial-era fort of cannons that once protected the harbor, Fort Point was first developed in the 1830s. 19th century buildings, once used for the manufacture & storage of trade goods like wool, became home to a community of artists known as the Fort Point Arts Community. A popular destination in recent years, this dynamic neighborhood is bursting with activity: architecture & design studios, converted warehouse condos, trendy eateries, art galleries and more, all while maintaining a distinctly Boston historic texture.

Caffè Nero is a popular, vintage-style Italian coffee house attached to the surprisingly trendy Residence Inn. This outpost is run by a friendly team who know how to prepare a mean cappuccino. Pair your coffee drink with one of many crispy, savory sandwiches on offer. While there’s ample seating, the warm ambience and home-styled wooden decor make this spot feel like a cozy library.
