This historic district is a taste of what Brooklyn looked like in the 19th century. A day trip offers everything from museum hopping to fine dining, to world famous cheesecake, to kayaking in the East River and one of the best views of the Manhattan skyline.

If you’re looking for yoga a little hotter than average, check out Tangerine. Right next to the Hoyt-Schermerhorn G and A,C stop, their 95-degree studio is conveniently located for both local residents and commuters. Classes focussing on Vinyasa flows range from 60 to 75 minutes, and after you’re done they have refreshing lavender towels and an assortment of fresh delicious juices. Patrons who are keen to try something more than just yoga are offered a raft of events and workshops including surf, meditation and barre. Oh and they also have two furry mascot pups to greet you on your visit - Charlie and Ella.
