Open since 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home care for over 8000 vulnerable animals a year (5000 dogs and 3000 cats). Their vision is that every dog and cat should live in a home where they are treated with love, care and respect. They are open to visitors (£2 for adults), but if you really want to make a difference you can help fundraise, volunteer or rehome an animal in need.
