If you're brave enough to venture South of the river, one of the many gems you'll discover is Battersea, a suburb that has remained up till now, relatively under the radar, perhaps from its lack of a tube station, but hey, we're not complaining! Battersea these days boasts an array of top-notch restaurants, bars and boozers bringing 'em in from far and wide.

An unassuming gelateria on the Northcote road, it does exactly what it says on the tin extremely well – serving deliciously creamy Italian gelato. The pistachio is a personal favourite, and like any good gelateria, it has a flavour to suit all taste buds, including lacto-free sorbets and even a sugar free banana sorbet! Opening hours: Mon-Thu 10am-11pm Fri-Sat 9.39-Midnight, Sun 10am-11pm
