Battersea
Battersea Park
If you're looking for a breath of fresh air walking among the foliage and flower beds, or a fun day out with the kids, sat right upon the south bank of the River Thames, Battersea Park is the place to go. Loved by dog walkers, picnic goers, sport fanatics and animal lovers – this is one of our favourite green spaces in the city. Battersea Park is home to meerkats and monkeys in the Children’s Zoo, visual arts space Pump House Gallery, tree top adventure activity site ‘Go Ape!’ and mini golf putting course ‘Putt in the Park’. There’s a bandstand, peace pagoda, fountain and a lake, and for sporty types: a cricket pitch, outdoor gym, tennis courts and athletics track. If that isn’t enough to inspire a visit, there are lots of other activities held here each year – it's host to Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and the annual bonfire night with mini fair and food huts.
