A corner of the world
A taste of Portuguese food and culture.
Situated at the East of Shoreditch, Bethnal Green is a very multicultural neighbourhood where young professionals, Bangladeshi families and English working-class live together. It still has this very unpolished and rough flavour of the East End. Without being considered as trendy and often underrated, Bethnal Green keeps a very unpretentious, authentic and friendly atmosphere, while offering many quality pubs, bars, cafés and restaurants.

One of the great things in Bethnal Green is that there are plenty of parks. This one is pretty nice, right next to the station, in front of the old library building. It is never too busy and always peaceful. Bring some nuts and make friend with the little squirrels of the park. They are not timid. If you want, there are even more squirrels in Museum gardens, on the other side of the Museum.
