Situated at the East of Shoreditch, Bethnal Green is a very multicultural neighbourhood where young professionals, Bangladeshi families and English working-class live together. It still has this very unpolished and rough flavour of the East End. Without being considered as trendy and often underrated, Bethnal Green keeps a very unpretentious, authentic and friendly atmosphere, while offering many quality pubs, bars, cafés and restaurants.

Situated in Paradise Row in one of the old railway arches, Japanese Canteen is a casual restaurant that serves delicious noodle and rice dishes. The decoration is not what you expect from a Japanese restaurant, but is definitely typical of East London with an industrial and minimal look.
