Referred to as the Central Park of Los Angeles, Griffith Park is one of the largest urban parks in North America with 4,000+ acres on the end of the Santa Monica Mountains. Within it are lush hidden gardens, views of the whole city below & some of the best hiking trails around. There is something for everyone in Griffith Park & no trip to LA is complete without a visit.
Glendale Narrows is one of the few places on the Los Angeles River that has an unpaved riverbed making it a wildlife refuge for all types of birds & animals in the mist of a concrete jungle. Sidenote: you may recognize Glendale Narrows from Mike Mill's film Beginners.
