Ferencváros
District IX is one of the city’s fastest developing areas. The part inside Ferenc körút is a busy zone with the city’s most beautiful Market Hall, cafés, restaurants, and the spectacular Museum of Applied Arts. The area between Ferenc körút and Haller utca attracts tourists with great craft beers and cultural institutions, while the area behind Haller is still mainly industrial (with great architecture, though!).

Fashion, crafts, textile design, illustration, jewellery and others – Heinrich is the home of many young designers’ studios. Visiting is by appointment only, but it is worth writing some mails, if you are interested in fresh ideas and young talents. (Technically, the building does not belong to the IX. District but it faces the Museum of Applied Arts, and in a way, represents the future of Hungarian design – opposed to the historical objects shown in the Museum.)
