Ferencváros
District IX is one of the city’s fastest developing areas. The part inside Ferenc körút is a busy zone with the city’s most beautiful Market Hall, cafés, restaurants, and the spectacular Museum of Applied Arts. The area between Ferenc körút and Haller utca attracts tourists with great craft beers and cultural institutions, while the area behind Haller is still mainly industrial (with great architecture, though!).

Ludwig Museum – Museum of Contemporary Art collects and displays masterpieces of modern and contemporary art. The permanent collection contains pieces by American pop art masters (like Warhol and Oldenburg), while temporary exhibitions focus more on Eastern and Central European Art. Vernissages and finissages are always cool events with lots of art-loving locals.
