The guide to Expo 2015 for design lovers. Every city has its center, its suburbs, its central and satellite neighborhoods. If Expo 2015 is a city (and it is), we've now arrived downtown. Piazza Italia, the area of the Cardo that stretches from the Open Air Theatre as far as Palazzo Italia and the Tree of Life. Along the Decumanus lie the international pavilions. Along the Cardo, the top Italian attractions. As a soundtrack, Dean Martin (what else?) This neighborhood was overseen by the Expo 2015 Social Media Team. All the photos are by Beatrice Bianchetti and Anna Chiara Maggiolini.

Developed vertically and sitting on the Cardo, the exhibition venue of the [Alto Adige/Sud Tirol](http://www.expo2015.bz.it/en/) region is located in the small square of the same name and is inspired by the claim ‘Live the Balance’. This quite particular structure, created in larch, consists of three observation platforms: on the top one, the exclusive opportunity to book a ‘[Candle Light Dinner](http://www.expo2015.bz.it/en/news/candle-light-dinner-with-a-view/)’, a romantic dinner for two, 13 meters in the air, totally spoilt by an exclusive menu and a view that is (in truth) unique. For less demanding breaks, you can linger at the tables on the ground floor and tuck into some traditional dishes: from ravioli to gnocchetti, from strudel to mouthwatering cutting board selections. Last but not least, pretzels and savory brioches constitute the range ‘to go’ for visitors in a rush. One obligatory stop, a Selfie with the wooden statues strategically dotted around inside and outside the pavilion.
