Tree of Life
[A highly iconic feature](http://www.expo2015.org/en/news/all-news/the-tree-of-life-has-been-raised--a-contemporary-work-that-has-its-roots-in-the-renaissance) of the Italian Pavilion (which it is part of), this is the real star of this Expo 2015 (at least judging by the two million photos and videos shared on social network accounts). A highly successful fusion between the building and the light and water shows it stars in every evening. All to the music of [Roberto Cacciapaglia](http://www.robertocacciapaglia.com/?lang=en). The [Tree of Life](http://www.expo2015.org/en/explore/exhibition-site/lake-arena) is at the center of the Lake Arena, 37 meters high, an artificial tree made of wood (90 tons) and metal (150 tons). The concept was by Marco Balich, the design was by the [Giòforma](http://www.gioforma.com/) studio, while it was created by Consorzio Orgoglio Brescia (at this point we mustn't forget the other sponsors: [Pirelli](https://www.pirelli.com/corporate/en/media/pirelli-for-expo/default.html) and Coldiretti). The Tree of Life is the icon of Expo 2015. A summary of what we might define “Italian Pop” in a 2015 version. Two million shares on the social networks say it all. What else is there to say? Like, like, like!
