Terreaux

You’re in the center of Lyon, Place des Terreaux, where tourists and locals mingle around the Bartholdi fountain. This large public square is surrounded by the City Hall and the Museum of Fine Arts. Daniel Buren has marked some of his famous stripes, but time has done its work and the restoration of the square is a touchy matter. Dive into the small surrounding streets to find out the gems of this district, one of the densest in Europe. Strolling around, you will come across the Place Sathonay, the peaceful courtyard of the Museum of Fine Arts; Great restaurants; galleries and designer boutiques to check out. You’ll realize there is no reason to go to the square other than to use the metro.

Second Souffle is a family restaurant focused on taste and music. Madame Chidiac’s cuisine is oriental and authentic and always shared with a great smile. She’s helped by her son, a true Jazz music fan. At night, Second Souffle turns into a stage where you can enjoy both live concerts and delicious tajines. If you’re only up for a drink, top-notch home-made cocktails will make your night.
