Carlton is famous for its Italian eats, a history deeply rooted in the area from early days. But what makes Carlton a great spot is the combination of new and old, creating an interesting and diverse cultural precinct. Peruse the well-walked Lygon street or veer off and you might just stumble into some interesting spaces otherwise overlooked. With leafy, terrace-lined streets it's a beautiful area to take a morning stroll and admire the Victorian architecture and World Heritage listed sites, with coffee and croissant in hand no less.

Milk The Cow came to Carlton! Originally set up in St Kilda, it's a great addition to the Lygon strip. Greeted by a full cabinet of all of the cheese and an abundance of wine you'll be set for the evening. And we mean all of the cheese, with more than 180 different varieties up for grabs! If you're indecisive, you're in trouble.
