Bluxome Street Winery
At the turn of the 20th-century, people were stomping grapes at more than 100 wineries in SoMa. Then disaster struck. The 1906 earthquake leveled San Francisco and Prohibition followed soon afterward. The city’s grape stomping ceased until 2010 when Kevin Reidy, a fourth-generation native, opened Bluxome Street Winery. Today, Bluxome produces wines from grapes grown in the Russian River Valley, particularly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 1-8 PM, the bright, industrial tasting room is a great place to share a flight with friends after work or before walking over to a baseball game at AT&T Park.
