Ybor City

Back in the day, Ybor City was home to the world’s largest cigar rolling factories and the central hub for hispanic refugees to make new lives. Today, although some of those factories still stand, they are occupied by some of our favorite restaurants, bars, and after-work hangouts. From sushi and breweries to the historic architecture, Ybor City offers some of the coolest places to visit. The City also boasts multiple historic hispanic clubs including the Cuban Club, Centro Asturiano, and El Centro Español de Tampa. Overall, Ybor is a modernization of some the coolest history Florida has to offer.

With it’s origins Inspired from the speakeasies of the 1920’s, also referred to as Blind Tigers, The Blind Tiger Cafe is a low key hangout where you can get both coffee or something a little stronger. Offering traditionally brewed and specialty coffee, pastries, and their own line of merchandise, The Blind Tiger Cafe is one of the cooler spots to chill in Ybor. Grab some coffee (or beer) and enjoy the mellow, work-friendly environment.
