Ybor City

Back in the day, Ybor City was home to the world’s largest cigar rolling factories and the central hub for hispanic refugees to make new lives. Today, although some of those factories still stand, they are occupied by some of our favorite restaurants, bars, and after-work hangouts. From sushi and breweries to the historic architecture, Ybor City offers some of the coolest places to visit. The City also boasts multiple historic hispanic clubs including the Cuban Club, Centro Asturiano, and El Centro Español de Tampa. Overall, Ybor is a modernization of some the coolest history Florida has to offer.

A popular hangout among Ybor goers, The Bricks is a cool corner bar/sandwich shop owned by the Skate Park of Tampa. They’ve got it all from coffee and music to food and drinks including specials every day. There’s plenty of space to spread out between the inside bar, back private room, and outside patio area (with some awesome wall art). If you stop by, ask for liquid heroin and their mac and cheese or literally anything else on their menu because it’s all good.
