Ybor City

Back in the day, Ybor City was home to the world’s largest cigar rolling factories and the central hub for hispanic refugees to make new lives. Today, although some of those factories still stand, they are occupied by some of our favorite restaurants, bars, and after-work hangouts. From sushi and breweries to the historic architecture, Ybor City offers some of the coolest places to visit. The City also boasts multiple historic hispanic clubs including the Cuban Club, Centro Asturiano, and El Centro Español de Tampa. Overall, Ybor is a modernization of some the coolest history Florida has to offer.

A small pub located off of 8th Street, The James Joyce Irish Pub (JJ’s for short) has that classic Irish pub feel with dark satined wood throughout, a fireplace, and 50 craft beers on tap. Yeah, 50. The food: traditional Irish dishes including Shepherd’s Pie, and Fish and chips. One of the coolest aspects about this place though: the rewards card. The more you frequent the pub, the more perks you get; bottoms up!
