This traditionally Slavic neighborhood has a storied history, starting out as farmland before turning into the culturally diverse hotspot it is now. Home to both a waterfront of warehouses and close-knit family communities to the East, the area has seen a burst of new businesses and curious dwellers alike.

If you enjoy beers from around the world – Tørst is your kind of place. They obviously lean towards Scandinavian beers, and keep them in strong rotation throughout the year. Their taps are in order from dark to light beers, so if you are not the savvy beer connoisseur, you can still choose the range of beer that is suited for you. Tucked away in the back you will find Luksus - One of NYC's top Scandinavian tasting menus. But don't expect to just walk into Luksus. Reservations are needed.
