Behind the Save The Children Pavilion, is a “gourmet kiosk”, effectively an Embassy of Italy's Emilia Romagna Region at Expo2015. The so-called Dispensa Emilia is a “Tigelleria” whose pièce de resistance is the preparation to order of first courses and large mixed salads, but above all the Tigella, a sort of tasty mini-panino, served hot filled with cured meats, cheese and vegetables. And for the sweet-toothed, savoury can be replaced by sweet: ushering in jams, honey, and Nutella (without forgetting Mascarpone)! Respect for tradition is accompanied by fast service using (ingenious) new technology. Once you've paid at the till, you receive a blinking “place marker” that lets waiters locate your table (these are the kind of technological innovations we love most). The price is extremely affordable, foreigners will appreciate the presence of all the components of Contemporary Italian Pop Art: stylishness and an eye on detail, friendliness, sensory pleasure, music, congeniality and (for those who want it) generous quantities of Lambrusco wine. Not by chance, many Expo workers have picked the Dispensa as one of their favourite pavilions. If you're looking for a fast, cheap, tasty lunch break, here there are few rivals.
